Information technology and the resources it provides are powerful 21st century learning tools.
Information and communication technologies are integrated into the key areas of study at Loquat Valley. From Pre-school to Year 6, computers are used in learning and to develop skills in sourcing, evaluating and applying information.
The school has a fibre-optic and wireless hub network, computers in classroms and a computer room attached to the library. 100 laptop computers connect wirelessly to the school’s Intranet. These computers are used extensively in classrooms. Digital projectors and interactive whiteboards are also a part of day-to-day learning in each classroom.
The school makes use of Edukite, a means of posting information for individuals, small groups, classes or the whole school community. This is a powerful tool for inforrming parents and involving them in their children's education.
The school provides access to Mathletics for all children from Kindergarten to Year 6.
