Aim High and Citizenship Awards
Teachers issue ‘Aim High’ cards to students who exhibit qualities of co-operation, application and responsibility at school. Any child who earns ten ‘Aim High’ cards can trade the cards for a Citizenship Certificate that is signed and issued by the Principal at Assembly.
Children in Years 3-6 are invited to undergo a self assessment of their effort and work and to complete a check list of items. They then give this list to their teacher who may discuss any of the items on the llist with them. The result can be that more 'work is needed' on a particular item or that the teacher counter signs the list and the child is awarded a Year appropriate 'Loquat Tree Badge' at the end of term assembly in recognition of his or her positive approach to their learning.
