Caring for our Students

At the heart of a Loquat Valley education is the goal of encouraging care and compassion in our children as they develop into capable life-long learners.
Our students are guided to interact with each other with respect and to take delight in helping to create a community where each student feels and is safe, nurtured and valued.
Childhood lasts a lifetime and every step of a child’s journey is important. Each stage of development marks a transition from dependency to developing maturity – a process so subtle that it is recognised only in hindsight when recalling their first tentative steps to read, write a sentence, understand some numbers, play an instrument – the small steps that lead to success.
We notice and commend each children’s achievements – whether they are thoughtful actions, striving to learn a new skill, overcoming a challenge, achieving a goal – actions that lead them to continue to Aim High. We’ll be there to cheer them on, provide encouragement and support and give them the sense of community that comes with a personal, caring environment.
We maintain a 'firm but fair' discipline policy and have in place a policy and set of procedures to respond quickly to any bullying issue that might arise.
