Chess

Children from Years K - 6 who have learnt the moves of the chess pieces and are commencing to play at home are able to attend chess club which is held on a morning before school each week.

Debating

An extensive, all inclusive program is run in Years 5 and 6. Students participate in inter and intra-school competitions. This program builds on text-type work done in class throughout the early years.

Representative Sport (Christian Schools Sports Association or CSSA)

Students who perform at exceptional levels within the school competitions organised by the Director of Sport may be offered the opportunity to compete against other schools in competitions organised by the CSSA. There are many member schools, some of which are located in the Northern Beaches area.  This is the pathway to CIS, NSW and AU Schools competitions.

Spelling

Each term children may attempt one of four levels of the Principal's Reading Challenge and have their successes rewarded with a certificate and advancement to the next level.

University of New South Wales Competitions and Assessments

Children in Years 3 to 6 have the option to compete in a number of academic competitions administered by the University of NSW. There are competitions in Maths, English, Science and Computer Studies and they take place throughout the term 2.
